Television Ratings (3/15) LiveWire = 2.2 Superstars = 2.1 HEAT = 5.1 RAW = 6.5 (Hours of 6.5 and 6.4) Paul Wight made a special guest appearance on the Howard Stern Show! Internet rumors regarding Paul Wight being in the New York area were confirmed Thursday morning when the biggest man in the World Wrestling Federation was a guest on the Howard Stern Radio Show, following in the footsteps of fellow superstars Stone Cold Steve Austin and Sable. Throughout the interview Howard seemed mystified by the stature (and ummmm "member") of the seven-foot, 500-pound superstar. The self-proclaimed "King of all Media" even asked Wight about his recent legal issues that stemmed from an altercation that took place several months ago in a New York area hotel lounge. Wight illustrated how a man who was loud and showing off actually had the gall to get in his face and shove him! Howard couldnt believe that anyone was stupid enough to provoke a man the size of Wight and commented, "Youre a big man, I would never mess with you!" Rightfully so, Wight was exonerated on Wednesday and explained how there is only so much a person can get away with when antagonizing somebody thats famous. In addition, Wight talked about his upcoming role as the special guest referee for the main event at WrestleMania XV between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin--now less than three weeks away! Paul summarized his role by saying, "Im a guy that gets the job doneI dont cheat". Will Paul Wight in fact stand by his words and call the match right down the middle or will he give the Corporation the preferential treatment Mr. McMahon is expecting? Rest assured, Paul Wight is certain to have an impact of titanic proportions on March 28th. On Wednesday afternoon, World Wrestling Federation officials announced several guest celebrities from the toughman, boxing and sports-entertainment worlds that will be on hand for the Bart Gunn vs. Butterbean Brawl For All Match at WrestleMania XV! Serving as guest referee for the Brawl For All bout will be former two-time World Middleweight Boxing Champion Vinny Pazienza! The superstar--who sports a record of 44-7 in his career and is a top contender in the IBF, WBA and IBCwill be calling the shots in the ring! At ringside, three guest referees will keep score of the Gunn vs. Butterbean bout. They are: Kevin Rooney (former trainer of "Iron" Mike Tyson) as well as boxing greats Chuck Wepner and Bobby Czyz. Also serving as judge will be former Federation President Gorilla Monsoon! Owen and Jeff will defend at WrestleMania XIV...But against who?! Many people have wondered whether or not they would be able to get their fix of Debra at WrestleMania XV. Up until now, the team of Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart (and therefore, their manager Debra) have not been scheduled to appear at this prestigious event. Now, things have changed, and all of the Debra-holics out there will be happy to know that they will indeed get to see their idol at the Ragin' Climax! As announced on the March 8 episode of RAW, there will indeed be a Title defense by the Tag Team Champions. However, this contest will not necessarily take place against an established Federation team. Instead, the contenders for the titles will be determined via a Battle Royal that will take place on the live Heat on USA Network immediately before WrestleMania XV. Here's how it will work: All of the participants will be placed into one ring. When a superstar is tossed over the top rope, he is eliminated. It will be every man for himself in the ring -- meaning that any previous alignments or partnerships are thrown out the window, and friends may become foes. This continues until only two superstars are left, at which point the winners will then advance to WrestleMania XV later that night to challenge Jeff and Owen for the Tag Team Championship. We're doing our best to get more details on this contest as they become available. Keep checking back to wrestlemaniaxv.com for the most up-to-date information on this new match! Check Out WrestleMania XIV's Tag Team Battle Royal! Luna: Indefinitely Suspended In a correction of what we posted on Tuesday, WWF.COM learned that Luna HAS NOT been released from the World Wrestling Federation. Rather, a high-ranking official has told us that she is "indefinitely suspended for unprofessional conduct." WWF.COM apologizes for any confusion this may have caused. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
